When you’re on the hunt for cute size 13+ women’s sandals it can be difficult. They just don’t seem to make a lot of options past a women’s 11! When you get all the way up to a size 13, the selection seriously dwindles…
But fear not. This list has been made fresh for 2021 and provides options for all the women out there who are struggling to find shoes past a women’s 12.
Some of these options stop at size 13, but many go up to a women’s 15+. Many wide widths options are also out there!
But before we get into it, keep a few tips in mind…
There are a few things you should know before you start your search for shoes in extended sizes.
- Know where to shop for shoes
- Know which brands to keep an eye out for
- Know your men’s shoe size equivalent
I will discuss each one of these in more detail! These tips also apply to anyone who is looking for women’s shoes in size 12 as well! However there are many places beyond the ones listed here that you can find sandals!
#1. Know where to shop
Knowing where to find sandals that are actually a women’s size 13+ is half the battle. After a women’s size 10 or 11, the vast majority of companies simply stop making shoes exclusively for women.
I’ve dug through a lot of online retailers and selected the best places to check. These are not the only websites that sell shoes in larger sizes, but I feel they have the most selection and best variety of sizes for women.

#2. Know which brands to look for
So after you know where to look, knowing which brands sell your size in sandals is a major help.
Sometimes the search tools within those sites can be a little messed up, so if you’re able to search by a specific brand, more options can pop up that may not have otherwise.
I definitely discovered more options searching by specific brand than just size alone. So try it!
It also helps if you need a specific width size, because then you can easily narrow down options to brands that carry your size and width.
Another reason knowing brands is helpful is because you can always check the manufacturer directly, vs. a website like Zappos or DSW. Often times they’ll have greater availability of sizes and stock.
I searched through tons of shoe brands and found the best ones that carried the most variety of shoes past a women’s 12 – in sizes 13+.
These are definitely not the only brands, but it’s a great starting point.
Websites that sell women’s size 13+ sandals (+ dress shoes and flats!)
- Birkenstock
- Crocs
- Minnetonka (with wide widths)
- Bellini (with wide widths)
- Havaianas
- Faryl by Farylrobin
- Torrid (exclusively wide widths)
- Vionic
- Walking Cradles (with wide and extra wide widths)
#3. Know your men’s shoe size
Sometimes, you just have no other option than to check the men’s department. If you wear a size 13 or beyond and you’re needing a very specific style, for example – hiking sandals – they just don’t really make them that large for women.

These flip flops are unisex, meaning they’re the same for both men and women. There’s just one width, but they are going to be wider than typical women’s sandals since they’re made for both sexes.
They come in such fun colors all the way up to a men’s size 13, which is equivalent to a women’s 14.5.
It’s a welcome change from the usual blacks, browns, and navy blues of normal men’s flip flops, making them perfect for summer.
These are basic flip flops with little support, but they’re great for public showers, pools, and beach days. They’re also completely affordable! Check the current price here at Zappos.

These not only come in a women’s size 13 – they also go all the way up to a women’s 15.5. They’re light, flexible, and waterproof so perfect all summer!
These do not come in wide widths, and they’re not unisex sized so they may be too narrow for wide width feet.
These flip flops are unisex sized all the way up to a women’s 15! That means they’ll be a bit wider than typical women’s sandals, but great for gals with slightly wider feet.
If you need a flip flop that’s more supportive, these are going to be better for your feet than the basic variety. These have cushy insoles, arch support, and reduce stress and shock on your feet.

Hiking sandals (closed-toe) size 13+ for women
If you need closed-toe sandals appropriate for extensive walking, hiking, or running on any terrain – they’re pretty difficult to find above a women’s size 12. Actually, I wasn’t able to find any pairs that were technically exclusively for women.
So I dug through and pulled out the best looking men’s options I could find…
Note: The conversion between women’s to men’s shoe sizes is 1.5, with men’s shoes being 1.5 sizes larger than a standard women’s size. So if you wear a women’s 13, you’d wear a men’s 11.5.
Keens Newport H2 (men’s sizes)
Made in up to a men’s size 17, but unfortunately don’t come in additional widths. However, women with slightly wider feet will fit these well, as men’s shoes tend to run a bit wider than women’s.
These come in almost 20 different colors so you can find any style that fits! Check additional options here on Keen’s website.
These sandals come in up to a men’s 15 (women’s 16.5), and many additional color options including neutrals like black, brown, and gray. Check current options on Keen’s website.
These weren’t the only styles they had available either – you can check all their men’s sporty and hiking sandals here. I love them because they have such an expansive color variety that can be suitable for anyone.
riemot men’s and women’s hiking sandals
Amazon is another place I was able to find a handful of unisex-sized sport sandals like these. These particular hiking sandals come in sizes all the way to a women’s size 15. Check current price on Amazon.
Always check return policies
Before you buy shoes online, you should keep in mind the return policy of the website or retailer. I try to recommend Zappos if possible because they have the best return policy out of any other shoe store I’ve seen.
If you buy from Zappos, you can return anything up to an entire year from the date you purchased it (provided it’s still in new condition) and you can mail returns entirely free.
Many other major shoe retailers such as DSW or Famous Footwear also have pretty decent return policies, but you can only return for free if you visit an in-store location. So if you don’t live near them, you’ll need to pay to mail them back.
Good luck!

As someone who wears a 12-13 depending on the shoe, I appreciate this information. My daughter wears a size 16. If you ever come across decent dress shoes or boots in her size, I’d sure like to know! She wears a lot of Vans and Crocs because it’s hard to find decent shoes in her size, and she needs boots with a wide calf. She has some dress shoes, but they were more made for people born biologically men who wear women’s shoe styles and not really meant for the foot of a person born biologically female. They are mostly over the top with the super high heels and glitz. I sure hope that I properly explained without sounding offensive.
